Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, Sunday 3rd January 2016 consumed at home the same day. Pours a wonderful sparkling gold colour, superb clarity and with a nice, white bubbly head. Quite sweet there is a slight metallic touch, dry at the finish. This is fine but seems just a little safe tame. Ok A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Tap @ Thornbridge ’s Hertogenbosch, small sample. Slight hazy yellow to golden color, medium rocky head. Aroma of grassy and flowery hops, crisp grainy malt. Crisp bitterness in taste, slight dry, some fruity sweetness. Very decent craft attempt at a classic pilsner.

Bottle from a shop in Castleton, Derbyshire [160615]
Light straw, clear, bubbly white head
Aroma of soft sweet malts, soft grassy hops, little on nose
Taste of soft pale malts, light sweet, soft grassy hops, bit spicy, very clean flavour, less hoppy than expected
Palate - soft, medium light body, bit oily, soft sweet, soft bitter, clean palate. Finish as main flavour, slightly dry, soft dry bitter hop linger
Overall - Clean pilsner but can’t say I’m excited over this. Well made - usually rate lagers low so this a good rate for the style. Very quaffable.

A light yellow beer, strong bubbling, a head is medium and white. Aroma has strong maltyness and low sweetness, lot of fresh grass. Taste has richness of malts, not too sweet, grass, medium bitterness that nicely long. Medium bodied, fluffy and pleasant in the mouth. Good malts and grass with fluffy presentation.
