Bottle. Pours clear darkish copper brown with small light tan head. Clear aroma of dark chocolate and coffee, with notes of malt and caramel. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of malt and caramel. Sweetish and bitter afteraste. Nothing special but easily drinkable and rather unpretentious.

Bottle, 4.5%. The aroma starts off fruity, turning more roasted. Clear dark brown colour. Frothy, but rather stable, light brown head. The flavour is roasted at first. Then comes a bit of sourness, but it suits the beer all right along with an earthy ground grain note. Clean.

Aroma: mostly dark chocolate, caramel, a bit of roasted malt; no citrus from Cascade mentioned in the description. Brown colour, minimal head. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Light body, oily feel, soft carbonation. Generally a bit too sweet, lacks bitterness, no flavour of oat (mentioned in ingredients), although I remember it in an older version of this beer. Rather boring.

Bottle. It’s a clear one, dark amber in color and topped by a small, off-white head. Caramel, rye bread notes, some citrus peel and a touch of toast in the aroma. The flavor has some bitterness, it’s quite dry, with caramel, rye bread and some citrus peel. Bready, lighlty roasted finish with a nice bitterness. A quite decent one, tasteful, but a tad boring. 130216
