Clear deep ruby brown colour, generous frothy tan head, diminishing slowly, fair lacing. Rich hoppy aroma, grapefruit, orange peel, rye, dark bread, light liquorice, pine. Taste medium sweet and bitter, citrus, bread. Medium body, oily to creamy texture, soft carbonation, lingering dry bittersweet aftertaste, very pleasant IPA.

Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015. Cuivrée, col crémeux blanc-cassé. Arôme offre un fort bouquet d’orange sanguine sur un rétro nasal de seigle rapportant une balance épicée. Le côté résineux du houblon reste assez en retrait par rapport au niveau seigle et fruité. Palais de seigle bien présent offrant un palais centré sur les grains et sec au fini. Petite touche aigre-douce de l’orange-sanguine, et je note une note presque fumée du grains. Houblonné plus discret arrivant en fin de bouche avec, à ce niveau, une dominance du profil sec du grains.

33cl bottle as a gift. Pours surprisinly dark red with a decent off-white head. Immediately fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus, pine and some malty and bready notes, rye and hints of herbs and caramel. Moderate to medium sweet with strong citrus flavours, some acidity and an almost harsh bitterness. Maybe a bit unbalanced, but still works for me. Wouldn’t mind trying it again on a later occasion.

0,33L bottle, BB 20.10.15. Pours red copper with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is fruity, citrus, oranges, mandarins. Flavor is sweet and bitter, citrus, bitter oranges, grapefruit, mandarins. Finish is long grapefruit bitter. Overall: ok brew.

Keg at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Hazy deep ruby, mid sized head. Blood orange meets, licorice, menthe and black currant up front. Mid sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly with dextrose and blood orange. Long bitter finish.

Bottle at Hopner. Pours dark red, nice foam top. Aroma has some grapefruit, bit of rye spices recognizable beneath it. Taste has some more hops that are balanced with rye spice and roasted malts. Grapefruit also strong, rough, not very fragrant. Overall rough IPA, no fruitiness, no sweetness spots. Fits well with the concept I guess.
