33cl bottle from trade with Douberd, many thanks! Pours almost clear pale golden colour with a huge good lasting white head. Aroma of herbs, yeast, spices. Taste of spicy and herbal malt, yeast, lemon, high carbonation.

Slightly unclear medium golden colour, tall foamy white head, slowly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma malty, lemon, coriander, yeast, herbs. Taste medium sweet and bitter, citrusy, herbal, metallic. A sharpish by coriander dominated bittersweet finish, finally a peppery touch, medium body, oily, lively carbonation. Too much coriander and certainly not a saison.

Sampled from bottle. Hazy pale yellow to light orange color, huge soapy white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly citrus, citrus peel, light Brett almost. Drinkable.

Bottle from a Deen supermarket in Holland. Deliberately light beer with medium, off-white, moussy, regular head and hazy ’old gold’ colour with slight orangey hue as well as a thin and eerie ’haze’ of yeast. Aroma of freshly cut grass, powder sugar, sweet apple, a lot of coriander seed, acacia honey, raw rhubarb, green apple peel, straw, cooked chicken, old cake. Crisp but notably fruity onset of pear, pineapple, unripe green plum and green kiwi, spritzy carbo, supple and indeed light mouthfeel of lightly bready and slightly doughy malts, bit grainy and even ’sweaty’, subtly phenolic with a finish of juicy bready and grainy malts, grassy and lightly spicy and ’straw-like’ hop bitterishness and remaining clove-like phenols, but all remain quite subdued and in relatively good ’contact’ with the green apple-like acetaldehyde remaining; still, in the end, the one thing dominating is that soapy bittersweet coriander presence, lingering for a much longer time than would have been appropriate. Light as intended, but simple, clearly ’overcoriandered’ and certainly not more saison-like than your average Belgian blonde, which in terms of style is a lot closer to the truth. Could have been worse I guess - but I do not understand how this can be called a ’table beer’!

Bottle from Deen Supermarket, Landsmeer, Nr Amsterdam, (I really need to add this place) consumed at home Thursday 29th October 2015. Hazy yellow gold with a white. A touch of spice but also a bit biscuity, like a nice biscuit (btw I am using nice as in biscuit name as opposed to to nice, ain’t that a nice...) a simple beer, bit thin perhaps, some metallic flavour, ok, but the weakest of the three that I have had thus far from this outfit, in fact I would never have guessed that this was a Saison.
