Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - opaque black but with some orange brown chinks on the periphery. Nose - toffee, fudge. Clotted cream. Lightly burnt toffee note too. Taste - smoke and charcoal with sweet toffee underbelly. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good stuff.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of light roast and blackcurrant. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Tom L. Black with a tan head.Aroma of milk chocolate, nuts, caramel. Sweet flavor with chocolate, lactose, nuts, caramel, some roast, a bit of licorice, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with late awakening, small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chococlate, fruit flavoured dark chocolate, morello, overtones of short breads. Taste is sweetish, fruity, dark malty, notes of cherry, morello, dark chocolate, chocolate-coated marshmallow treats. Fluid "Schwarzwälderkirschtorte".

Obfita, średniopęcherzowa piana. Aromat mało intensywny. Jest mleko, kawa, słodka czekolada, wanilia, paloność. W smaku jest przede wszystkim słodko. Ewidentnie mlecznie. Czuć słodką czekoladę, dość znaczną paloność, delikatną wanilię. Goryczka praktycznie zerowa. Całość, przez wysoką słodycz i niską goryczkę sprawia wrażenie, że piwo jest bardzo pełne, kojarzy się nawet z RISem! Brak mu jedynie rozgrzewania w przełyku. Niesamowite. Niskie wysycenie, kremowe. Bardzo dobry Sweet Stout. O dziwo dorwałem w sklepie, wcale nie leżakowałem.

Black colored, medium tan head, good lasting. Aroma is of milk chocolate, roasted malt, some lactose, dark chocolate, some burnt sugar and licorice. Taste is medium+ sweet milk chocolate, roasted malt, bit burnt sugar, some lactose, roasty moderate bitterness, dry finish and lasting choco/coffee bitter aftertaste. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Tasty stuff, sweet but still very balanced. (bottle)
