Single hopped and dry-hopped, black IPA. Dark malts combine with the tangy, citrus kick of American hops in this intense black IPA.

15/5/2020. Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Pours dark brown with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, hops, caramel, charcoal, dark fruit, pine and ash. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Enjoyed this.

440ml can. Black pour, nice foamy tan head. Aroma has coal, dark malts, roast, chocolate. Taste continues along these lines, some pleasant pine working well with the roast. Really good. My kind of Black IPA

440ml can. Black with a thick beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roast malts, citrus rind. Taste is bittersweet, chocolate, roast/coffee, liquorice, rindy citrus, grapefruit. Medium body. Would have preferred a little less sweetness and a little more hops, but it's fine.

Can at home, 17th April 2020. Pours deep black. Aroma is roasted malts, cocoa. Taste is very roasty, dark chocolate, bitter cocoa, some citrus. Really nice beer, verging more on the hoppy porter side of a BIPA.

Half, from gravity at a mini fest at the Flower Pot. Bright naked surface. Near black coloured content. Mixed aromas of red orange and chocolate malts. Well blended flavours of chocolate and liquorice offset by a long-lived dark bitter tail. Medium bodied. Well crafted (Derby 20.02.2015).
