On tap at Hummel, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma has a nice copper/metallic bready malt character and light spiciness. Flavour is extremely malty and quite rich for a marzen, with deep bready malt, a nice spiciness, and some old furniture. Deep spicy maltiness on the finish. This is great.

Ein kupferfarbenes Märzen mit sehr schöner, dichter Schaumkrone; im Aroma deutlich fruchtig-hopfig und würzig, im Mund relativ schlank, leicht würzig-malzig und ebenfalls mit deutlicher Hopfennote, süßlich beginnend mit eher trockenem Nachtrunk.

0.5 l bottle from 'Beyond Beer', best before December 2024. Clear, deep amber with a medium large, quite dense, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly floral aroma honey, some grains and a touch of nuts. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly floral taste of honey, nuts, grains, some nuts and a touch of sultanas, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant lager, very well-brewed.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish and minimally bready-grainy, caramel malty aroma, hints of caramel, a touch of spelt and malt lozenge, weak, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and minimally dark malty, hints of malt lozenge and caramel, mildly bitter hoppy counterpart; minimally bready-grainy finish. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, well balanced, clean - very nice.

ABV: 5.6%. Clear medium to light yellow amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, hay, straw, sweet malt, dusty, light bread - husks - chaff. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, malty, sweet malt, caramel, hay - straw. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20221125]

Bottle from meibier. Clear amber colour, white foam. Malty, bready, notes of honey, some sweetness, a bit nutty. Very well balanced, great Franconian brew.

500ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Rye bread, walnuts, honey and hazelnuts in the aroma. Nutty and slightly roasted taste with honey, nuts, cornflakes, caramel, orange and even some notes of chocolate in there too. Rather interesting and complex.
