This isn't a beer to talk about, it's a beer to talk over - the kind of beer you'd reach for after a long walk with a dear friend, or after a long day at work when you need time to kick back and unwind.
Bright, clean and refreshing, yet still rich and complex, this unique Lager was inspired by our collaboration with Coloradan craft beer trailblazers Odell, From Mountains Rivers Flow. We felt the delicious combination of fresh hop flavours and deep malts in that Mountain-style IPA would translate well to a lagered beer, so we followed this path to arrive at a Mountain Lager.

440ml can delivered by the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester and drunk at home. Middle shade of gold, clear witj a ring of white head and lots of lacing. Dried grass and herbs, a whiff of pink grapefruit, some light peppery notes and a metallic character. Sweet taste with gentle notes of ripe cotrus pulp. Short to medium finish. An enjoyable beer although not my favourite style.

Can. Clear gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head, but it doesn't hand around for more than a few seconds. Airy palate, slightly soft, reasonable fine carbonation. For me, could be a fair bit crisper for a lager. Smooth bready malts. Some mild lager tang. Soft and light marmaladey back end with a trace of pine. Light finish. Hmm. Clean and reasonably drinkable but lacking crispness and a brightness of a really good modern lager.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20201021) The beer poured amber and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, herbalness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were herbalness, fruitiness, floralness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy, herbal and bitter. A tasty and complex brew.

Canned 440ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, light malty caramel nose. Sweetish malty, bready, light caramel and grain with notes of grass in rather bitter finish. Not bad.
