Rerate from bottle at Karofisch
Now it is a crisp clean bitter north german pils which easily is on the level of Flensburger and Jever.

8 5 4 4 4 Tap at the brewery. Clear golden, white head. Light straw malt body, sulphuric and grassy hop notes, almonds, some DMS in the back.

Pours clear gold with a pearly, creamy white head. The aroma of pils malt greets the nose. Taste is grassy but very well balanced, with the malts and hops meshing in a bittersweet harmony. Certainly not as bitter as many of the typical north German pils beers. Refreshing, pleasing, predictable. One could drink this in quantity. Monotonous at times, we are definitely not leaving the comfortable if confining realms of a traditional German pilsener. The finish is lightly bitter, dry, perhaps a touch on the watery side but forgiveable for a beer that has tried so hard to please us. Good.
