On cask at the old ale house Turo. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are balanced fruity and berry. Light sweet. Medium body.

Third by cask, second day of GBBF Winter 20, Astbury Bar. Shared with Finn. Crystal clear amber body, filmy layer with bubbles, spotty lacing. Smell of bread, earth and ripe fruits. Taste quite fine with ripe fruits, mid-sweet malts, and a gentle moment of leafy hop bitterness to the ending. Nice Brit bitter. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

4/9/2019. Cask at the 33rd Chappel Summer Beer Festival. Pours golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of fruit, hops, malt, caramel, flowers and leaves. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from John’s Wine in St Ives. An amber beer with an off-white head and a light fizz. Maybe a little thin. Slightly metallic at first then a hint of citrus- lemon up front that sweetens and becomes quite orangey. Biscuitty malt also sweetens to give caramel which - when combined with the surprisingly obvious alcohol- has a little hint of American whiskey to it. Sweet but pleasant aftertaste. For some reason I was expecting a hoppy gold but this malt-led bitter was a decent enough alternative.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - honey and cereal. Taste - more of the same. Sugar puffs. A bit grainy. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - it’s ok but it gets tiresome.

bottle from Tesco Honiton. Amber golden colour, white head. Malty with a fruity touch and some grassy-fruity hops in the finish.

Bottle. Amber in colour with next to no head and slight carbonation. Aroma of crisp cereal malts with a hint of hedgerow fruits. Easy drinking with more solid malts, a touch of sweet rusk and decent bitter finish. Good.
