Bottle. Coppery black colour with a mediumsized foamy off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some roasted tones with a bunch of citrus, nectar and mild wooden tones. Flavour is nectar, some roasted malts, mild liquorice with some toffee tones too. Smooth.

Bottle 330ml. @ The Shnoodlepip, London. [ As Purity Saddle Black ].Clear dark black - red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, dark malt, licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160731] 7-4-7-3-15

Bottle picked up from Kris wines. Black / dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose cream coloured head. Aroma is weird, vanilla choc, berry hop, little acetone. Flavour is black malts, burnt toast, strawberry jam, berries, choc. Palate is medium full, little chewy, moderate to high carbonation. Little earthy wood. Some signs of a stressed ferment. Sub-par black IPA.

Svart med to fingre høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter sitrus, grapefrukt, mørke frukter og kaffe. Søtlig med en lett kaffebitter smak. Litt salt i ertersmak.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty hoppy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter caramel finish.

33cl bottle from Abcbeers. thick creamy off white head. Clear black pour. Lovely bitterness with a little coffee in the aftertaste. Very nice

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a thin bubbly tan head, light citrus and roast aroma, taste has a hint of coffee, some chocolate, some dark berries, caramel, light citrus.

Bottle from Craftissimo. Cola brown pour with thinning frothy head. Aroma is decent black IPA mixture of roasted - more burnt - malts and some hops. Taste is disappointing. Muddles mix of acerbic burnt flavors, some bitterness from hops (or maybe burnt again), and some sweetness from the malts. Bit watery palate. Not terrible but definitely wouldn't get again.

Bottle from ’Saucy Pears’ Worcester, consumed at home, Sunday 30th November 2014. Bit meaty on nose, oxo. Soft in mouth, hoppy, roasty but then a little harsh on the back end. Some bitter caramel, quite hard at finish. Started off with the best of intentions, its a tidy number, looks good, but let itself go a bit and if it were out on the town, well.. it finishes a bit of a slutty mess. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
