Appearance: clear deep brown with a large off-white rocky head of decent retention. Aroma: toasted malts, caramel, bread, treacle. Taste: light to medium sweet, malty. Toast, caramel, treacle, brown bread. Light plus grassy ending bitterness. Palate: light plus body. Average carbonation. Overall: an OK Dunkel. Too sweet and too little roasted character for a Schwarzbier.

Classic for the style. Super clean crisp and light. Easy drinking, great roast balance. Graeffe hamburg

Barwa brunatna, klarowne, piana jasnobeżowa, niezbyt obfita, dość trwała. W aromacie karmel, ciemne pieczywo, mało paloności. W smaku wytrawne, nieco karmelu i pieczywa, mało kawy, mało paloności. Goryczka niska, wysycenie średniowysokie, ciało niskie do średniego. Zbyt nijakie.

I know this beer well. It was available until some months ago in the supermarket in Nordhorn for only $ 0,30 a bottle or so. It has all the characteristics of a good schwarzbeer (roasty, coffeish flavors, deep black color) but it is a bit thin. Mine was brewed in Gotha, not in Oettingen. Still great value for money.

Bottle. Black with shades of red and a nice beige head. Aroma of cocoa and dark chocolate. Tste is grains, roasted malts, cocoa and bitter chocolate. Moderate bitterness and a little sour aftertaste. Low to medium carbonation. A little bit watery. Good value for money.

From the bottle. Dark brown with a fleeting, foamy head. Aroma full of roasted grain, cereals, a bit stale, hints of expired chocolate. Taste is sweet with a mild roasted note at the end. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Used the rest for cooking.

0,5 can. Its color matches black beer, very deep brown but transparent. Its head is brown, quilted, faded, but beautiful. It has a strong malt aroma, you can also feel a little dark chocolate, maybe even plums and coffee. Not bad. Taste a little watery. Dry, coffee, roasted malt flavor, but not full-bodied. One of the brown / black beers is a good drinking beer, I used to remember once I bought a carton. I wouldn't buy that much now. Good value for money, but not outstanding.

A barna/fekete sörök közül egy jó ivó sör, régebben emlékszem egyszer vettem egy kartonnal. Most azért annyit nem vennék. Ár értékben jó, de nem kiemelkedő.

Can, 0.50l, courtesy of P&E. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and honey. Clear dark brown color with large frothy tan-like head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet roasted malt and caramel, follows by honey and grass, finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Nothing special....
