We teamed up with morris dancing friend of the brewery Tim Lloyd (and his dog Obi!) to brew this super chocolatey stout. The base beer is dry rather than sweet, which makes it very moreish.

Chocolate is used at every stage of the brewing process to layer the flavour in, with a smidge of vanilla to finish.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Near black with some ruby light shining through, small beige head. Taste starts with plenty of liquorice and chocolate notes and then roast, light coffee, some sweetness in the finish, dry. A good stout but a lot of the flavour is up front and doesn't carry through to the finish.

440ml can. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and roast malts. Taste is very chocolatey, roasty, a little vanilla, caramel, light sweetness but mostly retains the dry bitterness. Love that they used a dry stout base for this instead of a sweet one.
