We teamed up with morris dancing friend of the brewery Tim Lloyd (and his dog Obi!) to brew this super chocolatey stout. The base beer is dry rather than sweet, which makes it very moreish.

Chocolate is used at every stage of the brewing process to layer the flavour in, with a smidge of vanilla to finish.

Deep dark brown, near black, with a small bubbly/foamy off-white head and a toasty, roasted malt aroma. Medium bodied, with coffee and chocolate complementing the roasted malt, some caramel sweetness, before a touch of bitterness in the finish

Bottle at home, picked up from the brewery and generously given to me by the brewer, shared with my Dad, 5th September 19. Pours black. Aroma is loads of chocolate and cocoa, malts. Taste is full, lots of milk chocolate, roasted malts, sweet, then bitter. Very good, especially for the low ABV

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Malty aroma before sweet chocolate sweeps in. Dark and glossy - a cola tint and thin bubbly translucent beige head give it a thin appearance. A short period of light bitterness before a dark chocolate taste develops. Liquorice and dark berries also in the mix. The vaguest hint of creamy sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Thin but creamy. Flat carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Decent. Certainly amps up the dryness and with the bitter hit not sure I'd want to drink it all night.
