Bottle thanks to a generous trader. Pours clear amber with tan head. Nose of floral hops and malts. Taste is tasty, a bit grainy. Some citrus with the hops and malt balance.

Bottle thanks to Ben! Poured a clear deep amber with a thick off-white head that dissipated slowly and laced nicely. Aroma was grassy with notes of cereal and grain with a slight underlying citrus. Flavor began with more citrus and then pine grew with the cereal taking a bit of a back seat.

Enjoyed from 12 oz glass. Aroma is pronounced in citrus / lemons with a great hop character. Very smooth, not too carbonated, hops outweigh the malts in taste. Just a great IPA.

Bottle with a best before of 07/06/2010. Pours with a large, bone colored off-white head over a clear, pretty penny colored body. Aroma is fruity, some pine and pink grapefruit, light delicate grainy/husky quality, A bit of sugar, melon and light caramel. Pretty dry aroma. Taste is quite bitter, light husky and caramel notes with a lot of citrus rind qualities from the hops up front followed by some pine notes and graham cracker over the long finish. Medium to high tingling bubbles. A bit of alcohol. Pretty solid IPA, but I donβt think Deschutes makes any mediocre beer.

Good IPA. Iβve had quite a few bottles of this particular IPA, since finding it for $7 per sixer. Itβs quite a bargain at that price point. Amber, red gold liquid sits below a frothy head that leaves a ton of lacing. Some great floral and citric hop notes with a solid caramel malt backbone. Hops arenβt quite as full in the flavor as in the aroma. It has a good feel, if not incredible. A solid IPA.

12 oz. bottle, pours golden amber with a medium white head. Aroma is strong hops, grapefruit and pine. Flavour is much the same, but more malt to balance. Pretty good IPA.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin and creamy off-white head that burns away steadily. Thick sheet of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character. Flavors of grapefruit, earthy malt and herbs as well. The finish is crisp and hoppy with a touch of malt sweetness lingering. Above average overall.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a medium creamy white head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is strong floral hop with bubblegum and grapefruit. Thin mouthfeel with a piney grapfruit flavor with a dry finish. Easy to drink, a good IPA from Deschutes.

Bottle. Hoppy aroma with caramel, tobacco and pine. Big hop flavor, lots of caramel, with tobacco, citrus, pine and some passion fruit. A very good IPA.

Hazy dark copper pour, with a sudsy, sticky lace - nose of caramel and crackery, biscuity malts - grapefruit and orange - fairly full-bodied, and much more malt forward than many american ipas - those hops do come on really strong, though - they add a lot of pine/spruce character - slightly estery, which works well with the malt profile - finish of gingerbread and lingering hoppiness - a bit more distinctive than your average american ipa - nice.
