Bitterhet i ettersmaken. En veldig god øl med mye julestemning.

Bottle. Muddy dark brown pour. Aroma of strong cinnamon, spices, cardamom and coriander. Flavor of smokey spice, cinnamon, malt, cardemon and a spicey malty finish. Nice.

Getting leather, some juniper berries, a little ginger and mild smokiness.

Intense spice. Ashy... Not my cup of tea.

Bottle. Pours opaque dark coffee brown with medium brown head. Aroma is prunes, dried ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, port wine, orange peel and brown sugar (exactly the same ingredients as go into my homemade "gløgg" extract). Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter, light acidic, light umami and faint salty. Body is oily to syrupy with soft carbonation. Finish is long, rich and complex with notes of "gløgg", gravy, coffee, Christmas cookies, Christmas pudding, raw licorice and all the spices mentioned above. Definitely "peculiar" and definitely "Christmas". Thumbs up for brewing something different!

Bottle from bottle park. Aroma hits you with spice up front. Badyan, cinammon, ginger maybe. Tempting. Almost clear dark brown colour. Taste surprises by rich caramel malt profile supporting the spices in just right amount. Strong spice, moderate to strong malty and even hops flavour pokes out a bit, with a decent bitterness that supports all of above. Wonderfully complex beer packed with flavour. Spicy, nutty, toffee, biscuity, grassy hops, it is all in there. Masterpiece. Easily drinkable at its relatively modest ABV.
