Bottle from Delhaize. Hazy dark amber, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of raisin, candied fig, ripe red apple, pear, caramel, sherry, brioche, marzipan, brandy. Taste has very sweet raisin & pear, some dried banana in a caramelly, brioche-like malt body that is also quite sugary; bit phenolic-spicy next to a nail polish effect. Herbal hoppy finish, yet covered by caramel, dried fruit, very vague woody tannins & 'sweet' vanilla, and boozy brandy-like alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, average carbonation. I expected worse but it's decent and drinkable, albeit crude and artificially marketed as a 'novelty beer'.

Florals and light sherry. Fig, some light syrup and a hint of cherry. Quite pleasant. Murky brown pour with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Bottle.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, thick, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Vinous fruity, yeasty fruity and slightly dark malty aroma, notes of blueberry, cherry, morello, plum, blackberry, rather neutral, subservient, caramel and dark malty background. Taste is sweet, fruity, slightly dark malty, notes of cherry, morello, plum, blackberry, blueberry, a touch of oat flakes, subservient, dark and caramel malty basis; well hidden alcohol. Creamy texture, smooth, soft, silky, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Immense fruitiness, surprisingly light body - wonderful, rich, uncomplicated sipper.

clear ruby to mahogany colour, medum sized creamy beige head which lasts for several minutes; aroma of cherry liqueur, vanilla, some coconut, toffee and maybe slight prune and chocolate notes; Syrupy sweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; great beer

Bottle picked up from somewhere, forget where, consumed at home Tuesday 28th September 2021, listening to Steve Lamaqs Evening Session on 6 Music, cooking Butternut Squash Lasagna. Pours dark brown, conker colour with a light beige rim of bubbles. Sweet with sherry, oak and a little spice in abundance. Soft moutheel, like a Belgian Barley Wine, mellow, caramel, vanilla. Lovely stuff.

Small creamy rim over veiled redbrown beer with a purplish sheen. Raisins, sherry (sweet one), alcohol and some fusels, (sweet) chocolate, hazelnuts. Warming up, an aroma of cocos. Sweet, again amontillado sherry, liqueurish; fruity notes & esters. Hazelnuts return, if with a sweet, marzipan-like hint. Very slick to oily. Some alcoholthinning and -burn. Much better than expected (feared). If the ABInbev ogre let them experiment in Bugggenhout, who knows what might turn up?

Sherry, rozijntjes, wat hout, ook wat alcohol. Iets drop. Wat ongepolijst, maar best smakelijk
