Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenny. Pours clear brown with a bubbly off-white head. The nose holds toasty malts and light acetic sweat. 500ml bottle from Beerdock, Crewe. Drunk from the bottle. Big CDA aroma with dark malts. Taste is bright and flavoursome, with coal, dark malts & juicy dark fruits with a soft bitter finish. A rather enjoyable Black iPA.

Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Thin, tight, lasting, beige head. Nice looking beer. Milk chocolate. Ripe peach. Some dark plumminess. All with an underlying, grapefruit juiciness. Taste is chocolate sweet. A little woody dryness. Smooth, milky coffee palate. Quite a big, bitter, roast finish. Liked it a lot.
