Not my favourite double IPA, but it is acceptable, the alcool is a bit unpleasant, malty, sugar, it could be more hoppy. 09.09.2018, in the flat of Geisser, Lausanne, Vigie.

Bottiglia.

Dark amber, slight cloudiness, good 1cm persistent head. Floral nose with some caramel / Kandi sugar and coriander notes. Strong malts initially in the mouth, sweet, caramel. Good midrange and nice lingering bitterness. Definitely taste the alcohol in this one. Almost like having a whiskey chaser. Good!

0,44 l can. Pours hazy amber with a finger of rather quickly dissipating off white head. A veil remains and there's some lacing. Aroma is rather mild, caramel, some citruses, grassy, pine and resin, fruity. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter. Body is quite dense, almost oily. Finish is quite sweet and spicy.

500ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from Beers of Europe. Golden brown, clear with a large and short-lived off-white head leaving lacing down the glass. Light aroma of bright orange, pine, a little bit of toffee. Bitter taste, with piney and citrus hop oils lining the back of the throat. It's not impossibly bitter by any means but it's a change from the super-sweet NEIPAs we've all gotten used to.notes of orange peel and tea in the aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Impressive.
