Bügelverschlußflasche (excavated by Q.-D.!): Golden, small persistent foamy layer; papery-dusty nose; light sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied as well; short sweet-bitter finish with an illusion of celery. Gulp......

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Discreet aroma of strawy pale malt and a tinge of grassy hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Strawy malt-character with shy grassy and herbal hoppy accents; moderately dry and slightly bitter hoppy finish. Very bland and boring Helles. 11.XII.09

Three 330ml flip-top bottles from the trinkstube at a conference on early modern witchcraft in Hohenheim. Clear golden body. Decent white head. Modest fresh floral aroma. Sweet fruity hops in flavour with malts lurking behind. Short, gentle bitter tail. Crispy and clean tasting. Little more than just alright (26. and 27.02.2009).
