clear pale yellow colour, half inch of dense snow-white head; aroma of grainy, hay, grassy, some lemongrassy, moderate metallic and wet cardboard notes; taste is the same with some herbal notes; not bad at all

Tegernseer Hell, Flasche von Grabsch. - Hellgelb, blank; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase sortenuntypisch schlankes, blasses helles Malz mit zarter Vanille, das einer feinen grasig-zitronigen Hopfung viel Raum läßt. - Antrunk schlank aber weich und sehr mild hellmalzig mit einem Hauch von Vanille, kaum süß sondern mit zarter fruchtiger Säure (Birne), abgerundet mit sehr dezenter Zitronenschale und einer Spur von Kräutern oder Blumenwiese. Gut rezent, schlank. Im Abgang recht dünne, schwach zitronige Hopfenherbe. - Etwas dünnes Helles, dem die feine Malzigkeit des Tegernseer Spezial fehlt, von milder aber nicht uninteressanter Hopfung; doch mehr als ein Erfrischungsgetränk. On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe (at 4.2%). Pours chrome yellow with minimal white head but good lacing. There are malts and grains in the aroma and it’s pretty much the same in the mouth. Whilst initially sweet, it does become quite bitter later with hints of bread rolls, grass and lemon. Finish is quite sweet, with biscuit influences. Not at all bad.

Arôme reste sur une approche classique, bien ficelée, effluves de malt dont pas mal de pils, une petite rondeur.douceur se laisse aller en rétro-nasal venant d'un ajout de Vienna? le tout porte aussi qcq notes houblonnées - fleuri.
Palais est léger, crisp avec une amertume fine qui perce en retrait, le tout montre ses qualités nobles - ici, un léger fleuri voire une note de bourgeon et terreux.
