50cl bottle from Londis, Barlaston, Staffs. An attractivce reddish gold in colour with a thick cream head that laces the glass nicely; stratightforward malt aroma; thick in the mouth with purple fruit flavours and robust malts; and a lightly bitter finish with a touch of citrus and pine resin. A really well put together bitter.

Cask at the Duke William, Stourbridge. Pours dark amber with a medium head. Aroma is dark fruity malt. Not much to start on the taste, but has a fruity malt finish, with a drop of coffee.

Cask, handpump at the Figure of Eight, JDW, Birmingham, 13-12-09 copper in colour with a slim white head. There is a touch of malt and hops on the nose. Classic bitter in style and taste with nice bitter twang, light fruitiness with a crisp dessert apple bite, slight earthiness, clean and very drinkable. I like this. A6 A5 F7 P4 Ov13 3.5
