tap @ corvin sörfesztivál (budapest) yellow colour, normal body, average carbonated, white head, watery texture, spicy, yeasty, almost average wheat beer notes, but no so convincing, gratis weird aftertaste

30-03-17 // tap at Léhűtő Budapest. Hazy golden orange beer, no head which is weird for a Hefeweizen, but also served in a pint glass :/ Nose is light banana. Taste is slightly yeasty, light banana fruit.

On tap at Soul Food, Budapest. Pours hazy orange, medium white head. Wheat, fruit, banana, yeast. Light sweetness. Light to medium bodied.

haazy ornge colour, moderate sized head; aroma of bread, some citruses and minimal banana; taste is the same with significant bitterness and high carbonation; correct weizen, but definitely extremely overpriced!

Draught @ Cheers Drinkbar, Budapest. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, sweet fruit, light banana. Flavor is light sweet, wheat, yeast, sweet fruity. Thin to medium body, lively carboantion. 010415

Orangeish colour, with nice head. Smell is like a weizen, some banana hints, cloves. But the taste is very disappointing, there is somehow a main alcohol taste, tough is a low alcohol beer. Not many other notes. It doesn’t worth the price for this 33cl bottle, with the same price or even less you can get 50cl bottle of good bavarian weizen also in Budapest.

33cl bottle, bought at the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany under the name "Tichon". It pours as a german weizen, yellow/brown colour with a nice big white head. Smells wheaty, with lower banana notes than german usual weizen. The taste is bitter, almost cornish even, not really sweet notes, maybe a little citrus. Strange aftertaste. I love bavarian weizen, and this is quite different, but not in a better way. A bit disappointing.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orange body, white head. Aroma of orange, peach and cloves. Taste of banana, cloves, medicinal hops and some yeast. OK beer.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, some slight sour notes along with yeast and a sharp hazy notes. Flavour is wheat, yeast, some sour and tart wooden notes as well as some spruce.
