Bottle at home, 26th April 14. Slightly strange taste to start with, smooths our as this goes on. Quite malty, could do with a few more aromatic hops. Decent enough

Bottle at the Evening Star, Brighton. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The nose is sweet tangerine, mango, Irn Bru and candy. The taste is bitter-sweet, resin, pine, tangerine, orange chewits, pepper edge and grapefruit with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice tangerine action. Decent.

Bottle: Nose is honey, mango, orange. Taste is pineapple, leading to orange, with a pine finish. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Is a perfectly competent American IPA. It must be the millionth Iโ€™ve tried, and itโ€™s hard to get excited about, though pleasant enough.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear golden body with a thick white head. Light carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of freshly squeezed lime, grass and lemon cake. Flavour of nettles, orange and a hint of mint. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A peppery, grassy IPA.

Bottle from Bier Huis, Ossett. Orange. Thin, white head. Brandy snap. Tinned strawberries. Whiff of menthol. Taste and palate is thick and sweet. Rising bitterness, through to a bitter, pithy finish. Not enough, though. Errs toward the sweet side, for me.
