Bottle at Cock & Bowl. Poured a slightly ruby red color with a medium sized slightly off-white head. Aroma was malts, lots of dried fruits (plum, fig). Flavor had a nice nut note, with notes of hops, sweetness from dried fruit notes. Pretty enjoyable.

On tap at TJ’s on 02/01/2011. Clear golden amber body with a medium creamy white head. Sweet nutty and light toast/bready malt aroma. Sweet bread and toasty flavor with some light nutty and caramel notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 11/21/12

Aroma: This one has a caramel nose, a little bit of other malts, and some hints of fruit
Appearance: It has a dark orange pour with a sticky white head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: This one has a clean malt flavor, some light sweetness, and a light bitterness
Palate: This one has a light-mid body, with a nice, clean feel and an average carbonation
Overall Impression:  This one was a solid Alt. I have no idea why it was listed under hoppy on the menu, as it is not, but still, it was a reasonably tasty beer.

Pours a clear medium brown with ruby/copper tones under a small off-white head. Aroma of light sweet fruit and yeasty bread dough. The flavor is lightly sweet on the front with some hop bitterness in the finish. Interesting beer.

Hay, grass, and corn nose. Clear amber, medium head. Flavor is mostly hay with some corn notes. Clean finish. Sparing use of caramel malt. I’m not a fan of the style, but this was a rather clean and well made example.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized creamy offwhite head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy malts, some husky grain notes, faint nutty notes and a fruity finish. The taste is sweet malts, raisin, some grainy malts and a bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Nice beer.
