Ambler is a New England style IPA. It’s everything we’ve come to love from this style – thick body, huge pithy aroma and over-ripe stone fruits.

A juicy smorgasbord of hops – El Dorado, Azacca, Bru-1, Idaho 7 and Sabro, backed by our house yeast strain kicks out the most unreal tropical esters. Ambler has a soft carbonation to accentuate the mouthfeel, pouring with pillowy white head.

Can. Murky orange with a fading white head. Shy aroma is chalky with barely ripe oranges, coconut, some herbs. Sludgy, lowish carbonation. Vague apart from the hops which deliver somewhat mean pithy citrus and then a grassy moderately bitter end which is probably the best thing about the beer. OK but didn't sing.

From a 440ml can on 18/1/2021. Pours a slightly hazy light golden with a medium to big head. The nose features some light sweet fruitiness. Tastes of medium sweet citrus fruit (mainly orange), with some tropical notes presenting as well, followed by a medium grapefruit bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Quaffable enough without being particularly exciting or noteworthy.

Can at home, from CW online watching S Africa vs England 2nd T20, 29/11/20. Hazed orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is mixed tropical fruit punch, sweet malts, floral tones, lychee, pineapple syrup. Taste comprises sweet tropical fruits, peach, syrup like fruit flavours, orange juice concentrate, melon, hint of grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced juicy hop bitterness. Slightly sub par number this one after a few solid hoppy efforts from GH ... just a touch overly sweet and slightly artificial tasting at times.
