Neues Jahr, neuer Hopfenreiter!

Another random hop mixture, let's see how this one turns out! Bottle from an online shop. Relatively clear golden with a big big head, caramel Graham cracker herbal piney nose. The flavor is big pine, citrus, not so tropical. On the back end that bitterness had a harsh bite and it's maybe a tinge alcoholic, but lots of sweetness/body to back it up. It's a powerful DIPA for sure, but shows me you just can't get the best outcome using 5 randomly donated hops (if indeed that's how it went down).

330ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Somewhat suppressed, fruity hoppy and caramel malty aroma, notes of melon, white grapes, a touch of lychee and strawberry, rhubarb and the like, leafy and grassy hoppy overtones; while the head diminishes very slow, there's a little shift towards resinous and piney hop flavours without change concerning intensity. Taste is mildly bitter, fruity hoppy, rather dry, caramel malty basis with little residual sweetness, more or less unspecific fruity flavours record a spectrum between melon and white grapes, hints of resin and pine on an equal level of intensity; lingering, dry, resinous finish. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky (in oily, not sweet/sugary mode) palate, fine and soft carbonation. Rather restricted hoppiness, but well crafted, balanced - decent.

Bottle from Craftbeer-shop.com. Bbe 24.05.21. Poured clear amber in color, light white head. Some caramel, piney, resiny hops in aroma and flavor. Good amount of resiny hops, nice bitterness. Nice old skool dipa.
Thx to Zinni for this bottle. Clear, amber color and a nice white head. Nose of overripe tropical fruits. Boozy. Taste is hoppy, piney with a decent fruityness.

Bottle, danke Günther! Amber, low carb, creamy offwhite head. Kumquat, dill and pine hop nose. Medium to full fruity fat base. Piney and orangepeel liht sticky bitterness, fresh fruit peel, light herbal, fresh, quite nice.

Fläschla: Deep golden to orangey coloured, hazy, medium-sized creamy off-white head, rich and ample bitter-sweet aroma of - as expected - exotic fruits, not only the citrussy ones, sweet pale malt well detectable, hints of toasted (?) malt, very delicate traces of a yeasty tartness in the background; distinctive sweet-bitter flavour, nearly full bodied, pretty soft; silky lingering sweet-bitter fruity finish with an increasing bitterness in the aftertaste and hops sticking to the palate. Satisfying Gebräu...

Starker, schwer hopfiger Beginn. Super! 11/12/13/13/11/13

0.33l bottle from 'Flaschenfreund', best before May 2021. Almost clear, deep amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny aroma of orange, tangerine and some mango. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly fruity and quite resiny taste of spruce, mango, some honey and a touch of orange, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly resiny and quite earthy finish. Full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant, very earthy DIPA, almost old school-like. Could be a bit more outspoken or have more of a punch, still a nice one.
