Dit is een bijzonder seizoensbier voor de herfst en de winter. De lichte en donkere moutsoorten geven samen met de drie speciaal geselecteerde hopsoorten dit bier een volle, zoete karamelsmaak en een fruitige geur. Gouverneur Dubbelbock is gebrouwen met kristalhelder water uit eigen bron, met uitsluitend natuurlijke grondstoffen. De nagisting op fles maakt het bier een tikkeltje troebel en verrijkt het smaakaroma.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Maltaroma with soft caramelly notes. Caramelly sweet flavor, hopped enough to show hints of grass. Just a hint of licorice. A bit sticky in the aftertaste, but overall a nice clean doppelbock.

0.3 l bottle from ’Slijterij VOS’, best before August 2018. Clear, dark reddish brown with a large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, nuts and some raisins. Rather sweet, malty, sugary taste of caramel, brown sugar, some nuts and hints of raisins, followed by a short, just slightly bitter, a bit yeasty finish with a touch of clove and some plasticine. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, definitely drinkable, but a bit too sweet, even for a Doppelbock.

Share bottle at RB/HD at Gunnar´s 29.11.16. Clear dark orange. Dense and persistent beige head and lacing. Fine aroma of caramel and fruits. Taste of caramel, dried fruits and peach, with some yeastiness. Good!

Flaske delt på RBHD-treff hos Odd Gunnar nov-16: rødlig rav med fint skum. En saftig og maltdrevet øl med aroma og smak med røde bær, god malt, karamell og fin mykhet. Lett og fin bitterhet i avslutningen. En god bokkøl.

30cl Bottle from Mitra Tiel. Clear ruby - brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dried fruits, prunes, raisins, chocolate, spices. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, dark fruits, dried fruits, spices, chocolate, malty bitter finish. Medium bodied at best. Decent.
