Cask at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear dark amber colour with an everlasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, yeast, light woody hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, yeasty, earthy, nutty, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours clear dark amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of caramel and yeast and touches of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and yeast and citric and fruity touches. Bitter, estery and acidic aftertaste with dusty hints. Well, not bad for the style and not unenjoyable as such.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear copper with a frothy, light khaki head. The aroma holds cheap, lightly toasted malts, grains, hints of caramel. Light sweet flavour with notes of leathery berries, orange peel, more grainy bread, leafy hops. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes with some leafy hop bitterness, toasted grains, earth, aged berries. Not especially pleasant, but not bad.

Cask at the Wykenham Arms, Winchester. Feint creamy aroma. Dark chestnut, good thick off-white head. Slight bitterness, a hint of something like cloves. Boring. Soft palate. OK. Nothing to make it stand out as a seasonal.
