Freigeist was founded in 2009 with a mission to revive Germany's lost regional, artisanal ales. We now offer bold American-influence, American-brewed twists on our homeland's most popular beer styles. Maltier than Pils and hopper than Helles. Exportbiers were the industrial city of Dortmund Freigeist modern-day Dortmund export expands on this tradition with more complex malt variety and extra bitterness.

Creamy barley malt and fresh hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Mildly sweet lemon barley malt and mildly bitter metallic fresh hay flavor. Good body. Solid.

16 ounce can. Honey gold color. Frothy white head. Sweet malty aroma has floral notes. Sweet, bready malt flavor upfront. Notes of honeysuckle, passion fruit and light citrus. Some earthy malt in middle. Herbal, grassy hops and lemon zest in finish. Very refreshing.

Gold with lasting white head. Light fruity aroma. Some citrus hoppiness in the tast and in the clean finish

Can. Pours gold with a foamy head. Grain, floral, peach, citrus zest, perfumed citrus stuff, very clean finish. Medium body. Good.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear, bright gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Bread and honey aromas dominate the nose. Sweet honey and bready malt on the palate. Very drinkable with lingering honey and faint peppery hops.
