From the land of the Māori, sheep, and Flight of the Conchords also comes some of the world’s finest hops. These tropical and citrus fruit-forward hops share similar flavour and aroma characteristics with wine grapes grown in New Zealand. Usually considered too wild for many major brewers, these eccentric hops are some of the most sought after by craft breweries, and they’re featured in many of our favourite beers. When we finally got our hands on some of the varieties (Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, and Motueka) a few months ago, we wanted to put them in a beer that would feature them in all their Kiwi glory. So we sprinkled these hops into a thick, juicy, double dry-hopped, double IPA brewed with loads of flaked oats to give you something to chew

Hos Håkon: en 0, 5 boks fra VP Bergen Storsenter, delt med Kitty: lett uklar strågul med fint skum som varer. Tropiske frukter, gule og grønne druer, hint av aprikos og fersken. Saftig og begeistrende. Lang, lett søtlig ettersmak. Mersmaken er også upåklagelig.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Hazy pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of spicy and fruity hops, hints of crushed white grapes and crushed gooseberries. Refreshing flavour, slightly on the dry side, notes of citrus, hints of tropical fruits and slightly spicy hops. Enjoyable.

Draught @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours hazy light straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with estery notes and touches of malt. Bitter flavour of hops, with sweet notes of fruit, malt and yeast and citric touches. Estery and mildly hoppy afteratste with citric hints. A nice, refreshing, well-balanced, fruity DIPA.

Hazy yellow with a thin whit head. Tropical and stone fruit aroma with some almost mintlike freshness. Sweet taste with a long sweet finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Really excellent DIPA.

Tåkete gul farge med hvitt skum. Lukter frukter. muligens grapefrukt som mest fremtredende. Smaker grapefrukt, ananas., sitrus. Noe oljete i munnfølelse.

50 cl can @ home. BBE 15.06.2021. Aroma has tropical fruits, sweet fruit candy and citrus. Flavour has grapefruit, tropical fruits, citrus and mild herbal tones. Also fruit juice. Finishes somewhat leathery. Crisp and easy-going. Rated on 2021-03-07.

Can. An unclear yellow beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of exotic fruits, petroleum, spices, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of exotic fruits, lemons, petroleum, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.
