500 ml bottle conditioned, from Ales by Mail. ABV is 7.5%. Black colour, small tan head. Strong roasty aroma, roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate. The same elements in the flavour too, also liquorice and hints of dark dried fruits, a moderate sweetness, decent hops. Very good beer.

Bouteille 50cl, de et partagée avec Pierre. BB 15.10.2016. Batch# 1807.

Bottle. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of berries, roasted malt and soy sauce. Flavour of dark chocolate, cloves, treacle and Marmite. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Not quite as complex and drinkable as I’d hoped it would be.
