Cask, half-pint, 4 % abv., shared with Finn at Cornubia. Low fawn coloured head, spotty lacing, near black body. Roasted dark chocolate nose. Taste of cocoa, dark dough and chocolate. Slightly roasted ending. Well made for the low abv. (Bristol 29.04.2017).

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol February 2015. Near black with a decent, beige, head. Dark fruits, plenty of toasted malts, a touch of plain chocolate and a sweetish finish. Good.

Cask @ Angel, Manchester. Black with a thick creamy/frothy head. Initially it’s not too chocolaty, with a more thinnish dark malt taste, but it’s certainly more evident in its aftertaste. Nevertheless it’s a fairly easy drinking stout with a light texture for this style.

Cask @ Holyrood 9A, Edinburgh 071112
Black, ruby edges, thin tan head with some lacing
Aroma of roasted malts, bitter plain chocolate, touch of coffee
Taste of roasted malts, bit of coffee, dark chocolate malts, some Bournville, nice deep dark malts, some bitter roast, touch of charcoal
Palate - soft carb, medium body, some viscosity, little sticky. Finish - some lingering bit powdery dark rich chocolate cocoa
Overall - Very flavoursome stout, however, it’s more bitter roast and chocolate

CP&K Pizza Port Tap Takeover. Well casks were still regular. Opaque black - brown beer. Tidy pale tan head. Light airy dry palate. Mild dark malts with a tiny bit of unsweet dark chocolate. Very subtle dark fruits. Semi dry smooth finish. Okay.
