Sweet and silky, it goes down smooth and hits your tongue with the perfect combination of vanilla, sarsaparilla and anise.

12oz bottle pours a murky, deep brown with a ring of white head. Nose is just like a god damned rootbeer, soda, mild licorice, some tarragon, plenty of vanilla. Flavor is... the same, actually a little worse, very sweet, vanilla, anise. Strange.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home prior to getting the hell out of Chicago for a winter warm weather trip! I’m not going to sugarcoat this one - it’s boozy root beer. Appearance is root beer - black & fizzy. Aroma is root beer. Taste is root beer...with a touch of vanilla added and a kick. However - this stuff is really good. I’d prefer it to root beer, actually, and I would consider myself a fan of root beer. Well done Small Town people!

Bottle thanks to Phil. Pours a clear brown with no head. The aroma is AW root beer. Thin mouth with light booze and root beer, vanilla, very sweet, crazy.

Sample from bottle at Winking Lizard. The beer pours looking like root beer with a medium foamy light beige head that dissipates gradually. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of root beer and vanilla. The finish is sweet with a root beer and malt aftertaste. Pretty much exactly as advertized and very drinkable, above average overall.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Adam and his cats. Aroma is very similar to root beer with sugary notes along with the herbal, spiciness of the real thing. I don?t pick up any medicinal off notes at all. Pours a dark brown with a thin, tan head that quickly disappears. No lacing and faint legs. Flavor is a bit less sweet than the aroma suggests and less so than a soda. It also doesn?t have as strong of an herbal, spice note. A nice root beer character though with a bit of vanilla.Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and in a way thicker than a soda with medium low carbonation, less than a soda. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an interesting and somewhat enjoyable experiment, but I would rather have a beer or a root beer. Better than the other hard root beer on the market. Starts to taste a bit medicinal as it warms.
