12 oz. can from Texas Cheer Liquor. Pours a cloudy gold-amber color with a small off-white head and decent retention. Decent lacing. Hops dominant aroma. Flavors of piney hops, subtle fruit undertones with a bitter finish. Pretty much like every other pale ale. Medium body with slightly below average carbonation. Drying bitter finish. I was hoping for something different with the oatmeal, but it's imperceptible.

Fairly clear light amber coloured body with an orange glow at the bottom and a decent light brown glow at top - odd. Aroma of pungent earthy and perfumey hops with a large oatmeal and malt nose. Medium-bodied; Deep earthy and pungent malt note with a lot of bitterness and a light caramel and toffee touch. Aftertaste shows a hint of hops but largely showing a varied malt profile with oatmeal by far the strongest. Overall, an interesting and pungent beer with some good flavours and a deep backbone of oatmeal that shows well. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whip In yesterday, 05-May-2014 in Austin, Texas for US$2.50 sampled in my hotel room here in Austin, Texas on 06-May-2014.

On tap at flying saucer Houston. Pours a slightly hazy burnt orange with a gray head that lasts throughout the beer and laces slightly. Aroma has a combination of sweet citrus and floral hops backed by a bit of grain. Flavor is similar with flora and light citrus in the front that mellows to light fruit and sweet oats.

On tap at Freetail Brewpub SA(9Jan11)pours deep gold with a medium white head. Aroma is full of toast and spruce notes with some floral notes coming forward as my pint went down. Flavor is rich. The oatmeal is so good in this, I not only tasted it, but the mouthfeel is superior. Grassy hop bitterness drys the mouth out. This stuff is awesome.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear copper orange with small frothy white head that lasts awhile. Aroma is earthy hops and cereal. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and oat with a nice fruity finish. Easy to drink, a good pale ale from Ranger Creek.
