Bottle. Reddish brown color. Just a hint of cherry juice in the shy aroma. Malty sweetish, caramelly flavor, slightly alcoholic, with just a hint of cherry juice. Needs more cherries to wipe out the blandness.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, BB 17-10-14, large sample. Cloudy copper color, short frothy beige head. Aroma of cherry, marzipan, bit toffee and caramel, slight cookie, bit spicy yeast. Soft sweet taste, bit fruity but not much, cookie, toffee. Like a belgian amber ale with cherry. Not bad, not very interesting either.

Bottle. An unclear one, dark amber to brown in color, and with a small, dense, off-white head on top. The aroma has some caramel and a fruity touch. Rather boring and not very good. It’s quite sugary on the palate, full-bodied and a tad too heavy on the carbonation. Fruity sweetness, caramel and a malty touch in the flavor, lasting for a good while, some bitterness introduced towards the very end. Not very good this one. 141024

Bottle at the PINT tasting, ABC Beers, Den Haag, November 2013. Poured a hazy chesnut brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is clearly of cherries, acidic with a little yeast. The flavour is acid sweet. Medium bodied with a short fruity finish.

Dark brown with red hue. Off white head. Smells yeasty, lemon, green apple, cherry. Taste is sour, unripe pears, berries, there’s some cherry but very sour. Later medium bitter with almost pilsner malts. Medium palate, lot of carbonation, slick texture. Overall this is quite sour and a bit one-dimensoinal. Might enjoy it more on a very hot day.
