Rye has been a staple grain for millennia—sought after for its stubborn resilience in the field and revered for its unique flavor. 12 fl. oz. bottle. Orange-brown amber colour, foamy off-white head and aroma of bread & fruity mango resin hop. Taste is rye with a peppery, earthy, citrus, pine hop bitterness. Slightly oily spicy mouth feel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, nutty dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

(17 avril 2013)

Deep dark brown coloured body with a hint of a ruby glow and a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pungent rye grain, a lot of earthy and citrusey hops with some alcohol noticeable in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong rye flavour coupled with the hops makes for a great balance and a very nice taste - there is a little nuttiness and some caramel notes, but the rye is the strongest. Aftertaste still shows a nice balance with more of the hops changing to resinous flavours. Overall, a nice and very true Rye IPA - one of the better ones I’ve had. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle given to me by a hockey teammate (thanks Brian!) on 20-February-2013 sampled after a game.

(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, beige head, leaving traces of lacing. Malty, hoppy nose with orange, grapefruit, apricots, treacle-toffee, rye bread and a touch of pine needles. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, crisp-bread, pine needles, a touch of brown sugar and a solid piney, citrussy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Very nice.

The appearance is a golden orange-brown, mostly clear with no head whatsoever. The lacing is spotty but also leaves the rings as the beer is sipped. The aroma has mainly the rye and the hops with some light pine in there as well. The taste is peppery through the rye and hops coming through. The palate is light to medium with a dry aftertaste and finish with some light harshness on the tongue. This is a mostly drinkable beer. Overall, as a rye beer and as an IPA, whatever it is, I like it.

A bottle from Craft Beer Base. It poured an amber brown with a thick head of foam and a nice amount of carbonation. A well balanced beer with a good mix of bitter hops, malty sweetness and rye. Very Nice!
