Rye has been a staple grain for millennia—sought after for its stubborn resilience in the field and revered for its unique flavor. Ruthless Rye IPA is brewed with rustic grains for refined flavors, combining the peppery spice of rye and the bright citrusy flavors of whole-cone hops to create a complex ale for the tumultuous transition to spring.

*Very nice mix of citrus and floral hops on a floral and nice "darker" grainy body. Great citrus in comparison to the rye. Round and deep, easy to drink, great!

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Aroma is weak malty base, rye and fruit. Appearance is slightly hazy copper with minimal sparkle, 1/2 finger-width off-white foamy head with poor retention and trace lacing. Taste is mild sweet malt and fruit, with mild spicy rye and bitter second half. Palate is medium bodied with sticky texture, average carbonation and mildly bitter finish. Overall, if this were a bolder version of itself it would be excellent, but it was pretty weak in the aroma and flavor departments.

On Tap at Bier:Thirty Clear deep redish amber with a thin soapy tan head and lacing. Rich woody malts and a biting rye bitterness. Not of lot of hoppy IBUs but decent balance.
