355ml bottle. Pours a clear orangey-golden amber, with a foamy white head and citrusy malt aroma. Taste is malt caramel, tangy citrus and lingering bitterness with slight metallic & biscuity notes. Light bodied and medium carbonation. OK

Bottle at ChrisO Snow tasting, thanks to Fergus, 20/01/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head that clears to a film. Nose is pale malt and light caramel. Taste comprises caramel malts, restrained hops, citrus. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation carrying a touch of spritz, a little bitterness in a dry finish. Very average APA but better than the TTD IPA !

Bottle at ChrisO Snow tasting, thanks to mR_fr0g? It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is wood, light toast, varnish, leaf and polish. The taste is caramel, wood, faint resin, toast, metal and leaf with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty watery. So-so.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - thanks to whoever brought this! Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Floral hops in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, some dry flowers, light dusty pine. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Faint dry pine needles in the finish. Meh, pretty basic.

(Bottle from Sainsburys, Lee Green) Light amber and medium white diminishing head. Malt and light citrus hops with initial medium sweet character followed by bitter finish but no real kick to this. Average

Reddish amber with a decent, off-white head and plenty of fizz. Light, sweet aroma of lime opal fruits and peach, with a touch of pine in the background. Flavour was dominated by caramel, with more citrus fruit leading to a dry finish. Didn’t quite come together, but ok.

355ml bottle poured into an ’Augustijn’ badged goblet on 8th Dec 2012. Looks OK: light amber body with a thin white covering on top. The nose was a mixed bag of smells: nothing too strong but notes of both hop citrusness and some mild maltiness. The blend and mixture carries on into the taste: pleasant balance of flavours again nothing too strong but the malts take centre stage before a slight hop bitterness towards the end of each sip. Can’t pretent this is wonderful but there is nothing wrong with it. Not an expert on APA’s so style wise I’ve no idea if it follows the classic flavours. Pleasant enough, but without setting the world alight.

355ml bottle from Sainsbury. Caramel upfront and then hop sting and bitterness on finish. yes its a pale ale. is it an interesting pale ale? not really. not awful by any means. its tasty enough its just im not a big of caramel and then hops that dont do anything other than be bitter. fine though.

355ml bottle. Amber with a fast fading white head and light carbonation; slightly musty aroma; crisp citrus taste to start but becoming flabby and malty; there are some gentle hops towards the end, but not enough to rescue a flabby finish.
