Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, good roast, some vanilla, sweet impression, lactose, bit sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet and sugary, lots and lots of dark chocolate, some alcohol, lactose, decent. Aftertaste: more roast, pretty bitter, some coffee, malty, lots of dark chocolate still, nice stuff!

Noire, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur un nez malté, caramel, chocolaté bien marqué, assez lourd avec un côté toffee - biscuité, pointe de cannelle - le tout passe tout de même comme lourd en effet 'pastry'.
Palais est de suite marqué par un caractère lourd, sucré, et épais. Pointe de cannelle - cinnabun avec ce côté pâte pâtissière, épais et collant aux lèvres - le tout montre tout de même de petites notes d'amertume.
Comme le reste de ces gros stout - c'est trop de tout, et in fine, le côté bière en devient ridicule.

From a 440ml can on 8/2/2022 (12.5% version). Pours a near black with barely any head. Smells of dark chocolate, burnt toffee and aniseed. Has a huge chocolate, caramel and toffee sweetness up front, with cinnamon and marzipan presenting in the background. The sweetness is met by strong aniseed, licorice and roasty notes, with a good dash of warming booze. The body is lighter than you'd expect with the mouthfeel slick and syrupy, and the carbonation soft. A good, challenging big pastry job, if not quite a home run.

Can. Pours a black colour with a light brown head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, vanilla and mocha coffee. Flavour of vanilla, coffee, ash and brown sugar. Has a soft and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Tasteful and pretty sweet.

On tap at Ambasada. Black with tan head. Chocolate, maple, vanilla, quite sweet, nutty. Bitterish finish. Soft texture. Medium bodied.

On tap at Ambasada Zagreb. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, toffee in the nose. Sweet and roasted malt, toffee, light dried fruits, caramel and some alcohol with sweet and slightly sticky finish.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, very slightly viscous, decent fine carbonation. Smooth chocolate malt base, chocolate syrup from the ice cream van. Nice touch of dark malt cream and a little genuine dark chocolate. There is a lovely chocolate coated ripe fruitiness. As it segues very smoothly to the back end, the sticky toffee comes through loud and clear and very nicely delivered it is to. Smooth finish. Christonabike, Amundsen know how to deliver a Pastry. Some will find this too sweet, but the simple solution to that is don't drink pastry stouts. Lovely.
