--- Beer merged from original tick of Cruzcampo Gran Reserva on 25 May 2018 at 11:02 - Score: 5

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts milder than exspected, intense malty, dry hoppy notes. A bit metallically. Okay.

Bottle. Pours light golden with a fairly big finegrained creamy head. Aroma is sweet with roasted malts, toffee and bread, as well as some zesty hops and whiffs of alcohol. Body is quite creamy with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, caramel, biscuits, grain and alcohol, as well as some hoppy notes.

Rich copper coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, alcohol and some light earth - not much going on here at all, but not offensive at all. Light-bodied; Sharp malty and earthy flavours with a hint of metal and some very light sweetness from caramel noticeable. Aftertaste shows a lighter side with the sweetness dominating from apples, pears and toffee, but also a definite malt body. Overall, not a horrible beer - but not great; A relatively standard lager with some earthier and sweeter notes than most - but not bad by any means. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from SuperTOT in Barcelona, Spain a few minutes ago on 15-April-2014 for €0,95 sampled in my apartment here in Barcelona on 15-April-2014.

330ml can picked up at El Corte Ingles in Palma. Clear, golden-amber body. Firm white head. Grain fruity aroma. Sweet, dried fruity flavours alongside hints of grain malts. A bit jam-like ending. Soft carbonated. Medium bodied. Notable alcohol. Just alright, better than all the Spanish Pale Lagers (Hotel room, Port de Soller 09.07.2013).
