Small if persistent white head over well-carbonated yellow beer. Fruity-aromatic nose, with hints of lemonade, chewing gum, nougat and marshmallow. Sourish, lemon-ade fruity impression with marshmallow behind. Weird. Finish and aftertaste have a very light chili-like heat. As to rhubarb...? Light, good carbonation, light slickness. Definitely not bad, but Klaas & Liesbeth, I absolutely don't agree with the values for sour/bitter/sweet/... given on the label. Thanks to Stef!

Pours hazed yellowblonde, under a huge and stable white head. Scent is mild, lactic ( tart) , milder on the rhubarb than expected. Taste is fairly sharp, drying lactic acid, mild funky lactic features. Milder rhubarb. lovely maltyness in the base. Interesting flavor combinations, to me. Not sweet - as you might expect from a pastry 'sour' . At only 4 % ABV, a masterfully enjoyable beer. Too bad for the overly intense foamy character.

Pale yellow and clear with lasting head. Aroma certainly has fruity, sharp rhubarb. The flavour less so. It goes slightly like a vanilla custard. Unusual.

Can @ Belgian Summer Gathering Sept' 21, Evergem. Merci Klaas. Proposée après le Belle Dame Rhubarbe de La Source qui manquait un peu du punch de rhubarbe.
Ici une version avec un ajout de lactose.
Dorée, col fin blanc.
Arôme sur un bouquet frais oscillant entre végétal et douceur marquée - le lactose est de suite présent voire dominant - pas vraiment mon truc. Cela se fait ressentir pour la rhubarbe qui est trop discrète en rétro-nasal. Une fine effluve citrique perce en rétro pour le côté 'sour'.
Palais est de suite marqué par l'ajout de lactose qui confère un effet presque de marshmallow en bouche, le côté rhubarbe reste discret et se retrouve un peu noyé par cette douceur - je note peu l'impact acidulé qui est poussé en retrait par le lactose.

Can from Geers. Hazy amber colour, white foam. Nose of rhubarb, lemon, some vanilla. Taste is sweet/tart, fruity, rhubarb notes, a little bit medicinal.

Lci. Expected more rhubarb... Bit disappointed. Love Rhubarb!!!
