Bière au goût fruité et mœlleux, à l’arôme fin et deicat. Son nez superbe, son équilibre et sa rondeur sont un ravissement pour les papilles. ABBAYE DE VAUCLAIR est une bière à la saveur parfumée et onctueuse.

Lidl - French week. Yay! 15kn for 0.75 of something that pretends to be an abbey beer is quite cheap and I was quite anxious to see if it was worth stockpiling for further use. Obviously filtered, this poured a shiny golden body with a big white head. Nice, full grainy aroma, Czech-style maltiness, sweetish. Light dusty and herbal notes. Not bad, not bad... but the taste? Humm... this is strange, burnt leather, light glue, bittersweet, extremely light cloves. Strange grainy notes dominate this one. Humm, ok, not special, but I’m not entirely convinced that I should get more, even for that price...

Bottled corked 750ml (LIDL, Toulouse, BB 11/2013)
Clear deep golden color, small white head. Aroma of pear and plastic. Light to medium bodied.Sweetish apricot flavor, some yeastyness but otherwise quite light for this ABV. Obvious Leffe copy with reasonable price (1,49 euros per bottle).
