Crossing the streams is bad, very bad, so we brewed this west coast IPA with galaxy and galaxy alone. Didn’t want to test it based on how this year is going. Cheers!

Hazy gold, beige head. Big musty piney nose, fruit notes. Short sweet start, tropical fruit, long strong hop bitterness in finish

473 ml can. Pours a clear amber with moderate head. Aromas of pine, candied citrus and pineapple, and bready malts. Flavors of bitter pine, citrus peel, and biscuity malts. Pretty good. Glad to see a West Coast IPA…

473mL can, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out bitter pine cones, citrus hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bitter, full of bitter pine cones and oily resins in true west coast fashion -- but it's not the most pleasant hop expression. There's more than enough malt backbone to balance, which leaves a somewhat overly sweet maltiness. Decently structured. While I like Galaxy, this doesn't totally do it for me. Overall, OK.

16oz at Phill's place shared with Alex. Appearance: slightly hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: cat pees, some candied 🍊. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: good one.

Clear gold with a rich white head. Candied orange and light dank. Bitter, pine and citrus. So old school.

Slight haze, thick head, lots of malt sweetness, sort of sticky and underdeveloped. Lemony and cannabis hops, but the stickiness is the major thing.

2020-11-21, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 8-4-8-5-17=42
hazy light blond colour. Strong cat piss aroma. Dry, crisp, still with excellent hop character, 1 month after the previous experience.

Dark blond colour, chill haze. Aroma of candied pineapple, very light guava and tropical fruits. It's rather dry, crisp, with juicy malt base, moderate bitterness (below the stated 50 IBU), and plenty of hop quality. A bit sweeter in the finish. Excellent, modern West Coast IPA.

Poured from the tap. Mostly clear gold with white head. Nice clean citrus hops with some mild tropical notes. Had a very subtle sweetness about it. Quite nice.
