Thick-set, creamy, off-white head over clear copper-orange ale. Sulphur, sulphury malts, vanilla custard, old chaff or straw. The vanilla remains outspoken, growing with temperature. Herbal caramel malts, very classic (no more custard). Dry finish with some UK hops. Thin body, most consistency coming from the head. Flat. Oh for the cask version. Very classic, but indeed too lame.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Watery palate. Not very good but not bad either.

0.5l bottle. This one pours a nice dark orange, almost dark golden body with a bubbly and fading off-white head leaving some lacing. Aromas are your typical lager nose, containing malts, some metallic citrus but also notes of orange zest and some weak caramel. Good carbonation but perhaps a bit thin and watery. Tastes malty, quite grassy - almost hedge and earthy hops. There is also a quite long lasting dry bitterness. OK, but that's it.

bottle clear brown, smooth large offwhite head. aroma: mild bitterness and hoppiness, quite typical "english" beer, some malts like sweetness, some dry caramel. flavor is slightly honey and flowery sweet, and balanced with a gentle dose of bitterness. Bit more flowery and sweet than many other bitters, but everything is balanced out nicely, high drinkabillity.

Bottle. It pours a crystal clear body, golden in color and with a finger-thick, off-white head sitting patiently on top. Thereโs a touch of blackcurrant on the nose, but itโs mostly toffee-ish malts and citrusy, grassy hops that shows up. A bit thin on the palate maybe, not watery though, and quite soft. Some metallic flavors in the else bitter, citrusy finish. Toffee, oatmeal crackers and grains as a foundation for the citrusy, bitter hop flavors initially. Overall, a quite nice one, quenching and pleasant, but it wonโt raise any eyebrows. 101129
