Draught. Deep brown colour with a foamy beige head. Aroma is dates, some berries, mild wood as well as some slght liquorice and toffee. Flavour is dates, figs, some syrupy sweetness, mild toast as well as some nutty and liquorice notes with a wee bit of alcohol kicking in as well.

0,5 flaske (9,4%), delt med skibsrederen ombord på Fridtjofen etter at vi har planlagt årets romjulsbrygging des-18: mørk, rødlig kobber med fint skum som varer. Mmm dette er en forrektige juleøl - generøs, varmende, portvinsvinøs og saftig. Dagsbehovet for svisker, fiken, rosiner/korinter, tørkede bær og annet snop er dekket i løpet av en munnful eller to. Det trekker på ingen måte ned at den solide omdreiningshastigheten er godt skjult. Sannsynligvis en pålitelig trusefjerner.

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 20.12.18. Dark brown with a hue of head. Beige head. Not much lacing. Excellent and vinous aroma and taste of dates and dried cranberries. Round mouthfeel with appropriate carbonation. The high ABV is not evident.

From backlog. Taster at Haand Festival. Dark brown with beige head. Malts, hops, yeast, Caramel, fruits. Sweetness.

Tap at kaffee Bazaar. Pours black, small white head. Smell is rather sweet, cookie dough somehow. Brown malts. Taste is full, rather sweet, intense, malty. Caramel. Rose hips indeed, bit tea like, but nicely balanced. Pretty decent, wouldn't call it a quad myself.

Many thanks to berühmter for sharing. Smooth sweetish beginning. Malty, grain, nice fruity herbal. Fresh, not too sticky and quite easy to drink. Sessionable, deep and fruity.

50cl bottle. A clear dark reddish brown beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark riped fruits, wood, intense sweet malt, alcohol. Taste of overiped fruits, oxidized malt, dark malt, caramel, figs, red fruits, a bit boozy.

500 ml bottle, probably bought in Denmark. ABV is 10%. Cloudy dark brown colour, thin beige head. Disappointing aroma of dust and grain. Fairly nice flavour, moderately sweet and malty, notes of brown sugar, hints of mild spices and herbs.
