Plzeň goes to show that a beer doesn’t need a lot of alcohol to be special. With its fine, hoppy flavour, this 5% blond beer can certainly hold its own against the stronger beers. Brewed only from pale barley malt, this is a floral beer with delightful, hoppy aromas of hay and fresh grass. Deliciously dry, with a long-lasting aftertaste. We named the beer after the Czech town of Plzeň, from which Pilsner beers originate. Despite that, our Plzeň is not a Pilsner; it is a refreshing, bitter, top-fermented beer.

Grassy aroma of citrus fruits, grains, floral hops. Flavour is light sweetness, hoppy, with some nice bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite tasty and refreshing, would drink again were I to return to the brewery.

Hoppy aroma and flavor. Citrus. Pretty dark and cloudy for a pilsener. Just a bit thin, but with a long hopbitter finish. The definite Czech-type pilsener, brewed in Amsterdam. Highly recommended.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, straw yellow with a thin, creamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-grassy, slightly fruity, floral aroma of straw, some citrus and sweet malts. Sweetish, floral-grassy and slightly fruity taste of straw, sweet malts and citrus, followed by a crisp, medium bitter, grassy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Nice and refreshing.

Keg at the brewpub. Aroma is pale grains, cereal, light mint, grassy hops, delicate. Clear pale yellow coloured pour with a sticky white head. Flavour is composed of grain store, earthy grains, light citrus hop, mellow noble hop bitterness. Palate is fine carbonation, clean and light bodied. OK. Lingering bitterness.
