Tap at the Howling Hops Tank Room, Hackney, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate on the nose. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, slight bitterness. Not too much happening in this one but it is fine.

Keg at Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Very dark bordering-on-black brown. Almost no head save for a small khaki ring. Light aroma, there is some chocolate and a touch of stone fruit bit it's mostly a robotic metallic scent. Tastes lovely though: the velvet sweetness of the chocolate plays among the notes of bitter hop in the finish. Low carbonation which allows the full slick.body to shine through. Good.

Cask at the Taproom, Woolwich. Black pour with a beige head. Lots of coffee and chocolate in the nose plus a splash of cocoa. Smooth chocolate flavours with some smoke and coffee coming through. Good stuff.

Bottled 330ml (AbM)
Dark brown color, big brownish head. Aroma has chocolate, ash and somewhat musty notes. Medium-bodied, active carbonation. Chocolaty, although kind of artifical. Ash, caramel. Feels that yeast has been a bit too active here. Simple flavor.
