The 2011 Vintage Ale, our 15th, is brewed with some of the finest of this year’s malt and hops. The malt grist includes a portion produced by Warminster maltings, from organic barley grown by Sir James Fuller on the Nestone Park Estate. This will be married with the choicest Goldings, Organic First Gold and award winning Sovereign hops, to produce a beer with a firm malt base, marmalade notes and a satisfying bitter finish. Individually packaged and numbered, this bottle is one of only one hundred and fifty thousand produced.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle. Slightly hazy, dark amber with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit oxidized aroma of caramel, honey, sultanas and some nuts. Quite sweet, malty, a bit fruity and minimally oxidized taste of caramel, honey and some nuts, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle from my cellar, No. 028566. Smooth mild beginning. Fruity, round and smooth. Caramel, soft, round and smooth. Hints of alcohol only in the back, round and even refreshing, mild caramelly, soft malty in the aftertaste.

500ml bottle. Ambrata spenta, leggermente torbida, schiuma abbondante. Al naso sentori di mela matura, datteri, caramello, erba tagliata. In bocca è dolce con finale amaro abbastanza lungo. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Buona, ma mi aspettavo qualcosa di più.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 2014) im 2016-11 getrunken. Die frischen Vintages von Fuller haben für mich oft eine ordenliche aber immer noch gut dosierten Hopfenbitterkeit. Doch dieses hat dies nicht mehr. Wenn es die Überlagerung um 2 Jahre war - toll.

Yep, bottle. Smells fine; toasted caramel malt, dark fruit, raisins, prunes, yeast.
The flavor didn’t hold up as well as I thought. Dark fruit still a parent, with some light trace of cardboard and wet paper. Softer carbonation, medium-fuller body. Considering the age of this brew. it’s not awful.

Thanks AFH. 500ML? pours a crimson red, 1 finger reddish tan head. Smells very oxidized like cardboard, persimmon, mango, oranges. oh boy. certainly oxidized like bible paper. i get a little bit of bitterness, oranges, even banana and cigarettes. interesting.

Flaska från SB. En av de äldre Fuller vintageölen jag druckigt och jämfört med andra lite yngre tycker jag att den peakat och vänt neråt. Lite murrigare, aningen platt men fortfarande fina dofter och smaker av torkad frukt men inte samma marmeladighet med skalbeska som de lite yngre. Dock fortfarande trevlig och god.

Bottle (shared by fatphil, thanks). Pours amber with beige head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruits, floral notes. Flavor is sweet and malty, some fruits, vanilla, some alcohol. Overall: very nice.
