Black beer with dark-red shine; yellow-brownish, very dense & finebubbled head, receding to rim. Very creamy nose, like coffeecream. Weakens afterwards to more coloured-malty, bready, but not sweet notes. Coffee, however... Soft sweet malts taste, with, once more, chalk. There’s no trace here for anything roasted, let alone charred. It’s just sweet, but not cloying. Light bodied, some gristslickness, "cobwebby" texture. Aw, this is not a bad Schwarz. But then, there’s really nowhere I could state "very good..."

500 ml bottle, bought at KaDeWe, Berlin. dark brown colour, nearly black. Large and lasting greyish brown head. Moderate malty aroma with notes of caramel and bakery, hints of prunes. Moderate carbonation, mellow and pleasant mouthfeel. Nice moderately malty flavour with a pleasant roastiness, hints of schwarzbrot. Easy drinking. I like it.

Test vom 16.2.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,7,8,8,11,7 - 7,80

Bottle: Very dark amber coloured, thin, off-white lacing foamy layer; dry, roastmalty nose, distinctive molasses with a caramelly undertones; quite dry, (dark-)malty flavour with a chocolatey bitterness, gentle mouthfeel; short, mild, dry chocolatey finish. A mild and pleasant Schwarzbier.....................

A deep red beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel as well as slight notes of smoke. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and slightly notes of roasted malt. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated, and the end dry roasted.

(Bottle 50 cl) Deep, reddish brown with a small head. Dry, roasted, malty feel, rather light in body with a harmonious bitterness. Quite a pleasant Schwarzbier. 261001

Bottled. Dark ruby red, mediumsized beige bubbly head, lacing. Bready malt in aroma. Caramel and sweet malts along with vegetably hints in flavour. A bit too sweet in my opinion. Not bad, but not good either.

Bottled (BB 02/2006)
Dark brown, good tanned creamy head. Metallic, chicken food aroma. A bit roasted, flavor par to aroma too. Lame with unclean aroma and flavors.

(bottle) Dark brown colour with a non existent white “head”. Slight malty nose. Quite dry flavour, light to medium bodied, soft carbonated. Initially boring taste of some roasted malts getting more interesting with its dry and hopbitter finish.
